New LNG refuelling stations in Germany in 2026

Who opened stations and how many each operator has
In 2026 the network of LNG and Bio-LNG filling stations in Germany continued to expand. In April the country passed the milestone of 200 public LNG stations. The main driver is demand from heavy-duty hauliers and the shift to 100% Bio-LNG. Below are companies with new sites and other major network operators.
1. Rolande (Netherlands)
Most active foreign operator on new openings. April — Wörth an der Isar (A92); October — Gildehaus / Bad Bentheim (A30); also Großmehring (A9). Network: ~10+ in Germany, ~28 own in Europe. 100% Bio-LNG, 24/7.
2. Biogeen Mobility (Biomotion)
April — Biebelried (A3/B8): the 200th LNG station in Germany and biogeen’s first Bio-LNG site (with Total/Circle K). Under Biomotion — about 35 BioCNG stations in Germany and the Czech Republic, with BioLNG expansion plans.
3. ViGo Bioenergy
One of the largest players: ~32 Bio-LNG stations in Germany, 62 in Europe. Integrated production–trading–logistics–stations model. Former German market leader; since 2021 under Vitol. Building a fourth biogas plant.
4. BarMalGas
Family-owned (Brandenburg). In 2026 opened 100% Bio-LNG stations: Ludwigsfelde / Genshagen (A10) and Oberkrämer. 24/7; cards DKV, Eurowag, Tankpool24, Hoyer, E100. Also tanker deliveries.
5. Liqvis (EnviTec Biogas)
Since 2025 part of EnviTec. 12–15 stations in Germany (Alsfeld, Bönen, Freienbrink, Fulda, Gotha, Langenhagen, Leipzig, Magdeburg, Ulm etc.). Switched to 100% Bio-LNG. Access to biomethane from ~100 EnviTec plants and Güstrow.
6. Other major operators and networks
Knauber — own stations (Haiger, Wörrstadt, Cloppenburg, Sulz-Vöhringen, Mühldorf etc.) plus partner network with Verbio, BayWa and GasCom. By January 2026 mutual card acceptance expanded the network to ~34 stations with 100% Bio-LNG.
Verbio — own Bio-LNG/Bio-CNG stations on main corridors (Zörbig, Regensburg, Hockenheim, Hohenwarsleben, Denkendorf, Halle, Bad Honnef, Schwedt etc.); part of the network is in the Knauber partnership (~23 Verbio/BayWa sites).
GasCom — own stations (Jacobsdorf, Köln-Porz, Neuwied, Kiefersfelden, Wunstorf, Offheim, Rheinböllen etc.), bioplus LNG; card partnership with Knauber.
BayWa — partner stations in the Knauber network (Eching, Nördlingen, Karlsruhe, Nürnberg, Wolfsburg, Gersthofen etc.).
Shell and TotalEnergies / Circle K — present at many motorway service areas (Autohof); some sites used by partners (including biogeen at Biebelried).
Summary table

| Rolande | Wörth, Bad Bentheim, Großmehring | ~10+ DE; ~28 EU |
| Biogeen / Biomotion | Biebelried (200th in DE) | ~35 BioCNG; 1 BioLNG |
| ViGo Bioenergy | Network growth | ~32 Bio-LNG DE; 62 EU |
| BarMalGas | Ludwigsfelde, Oberkrämer | Growing network DE |
| Liqvis (EnviTec) | 100% Bio-LNG | 12–15 DE |
| Knauber + partners | Network with Verbio/BayWa/GasCom | ~34 stations |
| Verbio | Own + partners | Many on corridors |
| GasCom | Own stations | Several DE |
Conclusion
By April 2026 Germany had ≥200 public LNG stations. New openings — Rolande, biogeen, BarMalGas; strong networks — ViGo (~32), Liqvis (12–15), Knauber+partners (~34), Verbio, GasCom. Bio-LNG has become the standard. For ssLNG and Bio-LNG suppliers from the Baltics this expands demand for logistics and long-term contracts.
